Must be out in just certain regions then, but there sure are plenty of Reddit threads and other forums talking about it. Even when you just say is steam down in Google it says the game servers and the store is offline.
Oh, I'm not taking it hard and I assumed you were pretty much joking or being sarcastic. Was just strange that it seems to be going in and out for so many people since last night yet nobody was complaining here.
or its rolling outages for some reason.Must be out in just certain regions then
Steam down for me.yet nobody was complaining here.
I had some issues with the Steam cloud yesterday not working correctly, I closed out Steam and rebooted the PC and it was fine afterwards, not the first time I had issues with the cloud also, I did local saves with Stalker 2 because it refused to work correctly. How are you people even playing the game? Steam has been down for probably around 12 hours at this point.
I wonder why ever single review from any halfway trusted site or channel showed obvious stuttering and even more so for Nvidia. This was clearly apparent when first starting the game or entering new area. Hell even the devs were saying to give 15 minutes or so of gaming for the shaders to fully compile or even if you changed the settings while already playing. Even then there was obvious traversal stuttering especially on Nvidia gpus. Yet somehow you managed to avoid all of that and get a smooth stutter free experience? FFS even Borderlands 3 still hitches to this day and many reviewers even reminded people of that during their Borderlands 4 reviews.I never had stuttering but good for you.![]()
There is some stutter during the first load (where it is showing the wormhole and also a message that it is trying to compile something). Post that I did not experience any stutters. Not sure what you are on about but yes my experience has been different.I wonder why ever single review from any halfway trusted site or channel showed obvious stuttering and even more so for Nvidia. not everyone feels it. get over it already.
I get the same stuttering in the wormhole, along with compiling shaders thing at times, the rest of the game runs just fine, even with a ton of action on screen I still maintain 120-130 fps. There is some stutter during the first load (where it is showing the wormhole and also a message that it is trying to compile something). Stuttering is not a major issue in this game. It doesn't happen during boss fights, which is where I would complain the most. If it happens in the open world, it must be happening at times where I absolutely do not care. I'm used to micro pauses in open world games when they're streaming assets when you move around the world. Par for the course really.I get the same stuttering in the wormhole, along with compiling shaders thing at times, the rest of the game runs just fine, even with a ton of action on screen I still maintain 120-130 fps.
Boss fights have been great for me, as the rest of the game it's been the same, as you said if their are micro stutters I also don't notice them. It's odd how some users are experiencing a lot of stuttering and others little to none. It makes me question if it's the actual game or something to do with the particular setup it's running on.Stuttering is not a major issue in this game. Think I've had tiny micro stutters for less than 1/10 of a second less than 5 times in 20 hours. Only major stuttering I've had is on loading screens while it is compiling shaders.this you feel and see it wasn't like micro stuttering it was full on game goes to like 1fps for a ssecond or two...constantly when moving around the map. the 10-15min thng they said was bogus to me. it never went away. the only way before was to not use the vehicle because that made it SO MUCH worse. I just ended up walking and/or teleporting close to everything I needed to do. Its not like my PC is terrible either.
I think you're an outlier. There are plenty of people in this thread with 5xxx series not experiencing crashes.People on higher end 5xxx not getting crashes must be really lucky, started crashing every 5 minutes on my rig again, had to lower lighting to medium now. Not sure what it is about this game, no other appliction or event OCCT blended torture test has any issues on my system for hours on end, this one consistently throws error 153 related to nv drivers. The thing is more stable on my Legion 7i running at 1920x1200 High...definitely not the card since the fe had the same issues and only with this stupid game.
Been running just fine on my 5080, I can count the stutters on one hand.People on higher end 5xxx not getting crashes must be really lucky, started crashing every 5 minutes on my rig again, had to lower lighting to medium now. I have seen hundreds of posts with 9800x3d/5090/80/70 tis having the same driver related crashes. Pretty disgusting situation, it works for me isn't good enough, gearbox needs to do better, don't be a Randy...Been running just fine on my 5080, I can count the stutters on one hand.
To date only a couple minor patches by Gearbox, this is the problem with gaming today, most games come out in one form or another, great if you can play it with no problems, if not oh well wait weeks or months for a patch.I have seen hundreds of posts with 9800x3d/5090/80/70 tis having the same driver related crashes. But I do read the Steam Community and am well aware you're not alone. From what I gather, I don't think the crashing is 5xxx specific.

I can't tell you if the crashes are due to the game or drivers, I do know that Nvidia drivers for the 5xxx seris have been a disaster and I had issues with streaming video since I got a 5080 but after a ddu and clean driver istall this has been mostly fixed.I have seen hundreds of posts with 9800x3d/5090/80/70 tis having the same driver related crashes.
It could be any number of things, as you mentioned a clean install of the drivers using DDU would be a start, making sure no overlays are running other than Steam, removing any 3rd party monitoring software (Afterburner should be fine) disabling any AV software, removing any overclocks on the cpu and gpu etc etc. I just played a mission with a intense amount of action on screen and still maintained between 120-130 fps, no dips, no stuttering, no freezes, just smooth action, I couldn't ask anymore from my 4080.I can't tell you if the crashes are due to the game or drivers, I do know that Nvidia drivers for the 5xxx seris have been a disaster and I had issues with streaming video since I got a 5080 but after a ddu and clean driver istall this has been mostly fixed.
I did not have any game related issues though and had fixed this well b4 BL4 laucnhed so ymmv.
What are you getting for frames on average?I have a 9800X3D and a 5080 FE and BL4 plays pretty darn smooth for me. Never crashed and no hiccups.
I'm playing @ 3440 X 1440
DLSS + FrameGen X2
Settings = everything else highest and some ultra, except cloud and shadow stuff I have at high.
