Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
About ten days ago, I went to start my computer but my monitor refused to show anything on screen. Its LED would stay orange even after repeated reboots. Through some trial and error (and the luck of having two other graphics card to swap in), I was able to pinpoint the problem to my MSI R4870...
I have this same problem, but with a new build. I've tried replacing the video card, cpu, and memory but I still get the 'no input' window on the monitor. The monitor works just fine too on my old computer, it's just very odd.
XP Media Edition. That error comes up when I log back in into Windows after a crash. It forces me to end the explorer.exe process and restart it. However, the error doesn't always happen. Sometimes all I get is Active Desktop Recovery, or sometimes no error on the screen at all.
I'll try...

Ok, just to confirm these LEDs:
+RES- is Reset SW?
+PW- is Power SW?
+HD- is H.D.D LED?
+MSG- this is the odd one. I had a set of extra unlabeled + and - wires and I stuck them there.
I've also tried reseating the RAM and checking the CPU power connection. All that's left now is reseating the...
I hooked up the monitor and turn on the PC, nothing showed up on screen. Also tried removing the graphics card and starting it up; it still shuts down. So I'm thinking it might be the processor?
Edit: no lit LED on the mobo that I can see.

Anyone want to help me get a list of components together for $1300? I'll need a monitor/keyboard/mouse/xp media with that budget; I have the speakers already. This will be used primarily for gaming.
I used to browse [H]ard|forms, Anandtech, THG, etc almost daily a year ago. I got really sucked into WoW, so now I'm not sure what good in the world of computing now. =) I need some ideas for a gaming/graphic design comp for $12-1300. This includes monitor, case, and periphials (have the...
I was able to obtain this comp at a bargain; I'm hoping to turn it into a semi-viable secondary gaming machine. Here's its specs:
Athlon 1.8ghz (2200+ ??)
MSI KM3M-V mobo link
2x 256 ram
40gig hd
I was wondering what I should upgrade first. I was thinking of getting 2x 512 sticks of...
