Specs:

MB: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3
EVGA 8800GTS
Xclio 500W PSU
C2D E6400 2.13GHz
2GB G.Skill ram

I've tried disconnecting all the drives and nothing changes. When I press the power button, the front case fan, PSU fan, proc fan, and video card fan all seem to come on. After a few seconds though, the computer shuts down. The comp would attempt to start again every 10-15sec or so. I'm not sure what's going on. =/

If you need more info, just ask.

I hooked up the monitor and turn on the PC, nothing showed up on screen. Also tried removing the graphics card and starting it up; it still shuts down. So I'm thinking it might be the processor?

Edit: no lit LED on the mobo that I can see.

Start simple. Reseat the RAM and see if that helps. If not, reseat the CPU. If you still have issues, come on back and let us know. These guys around here are pretty slick. They'll get it fixed for ya.

First guess, something's not connected or seated properly. You may have already done this, check the CPU power connection and memory seating.

we need more information

how is the computer connected to the monitor? vga to the video card?

did you try it without the video card using onboard video?

are you getting any beeps from the mobo, like 3 beeps in succession, particularly when it restarts?

more more more info

Ok, just to confirm these LEDs:

+RES- is Reset SW?
+PW- is Power SW?
+HD- is H.D.D LED?
+MSG- this is the odd one. I had a set of extra unlabeled + and - wires and I stuck them there.

I've also tried reseating the RAM and checking the CPU power connection. All that's left now is reseating the CPU itself: what's the best way to remove the standard heatsink?

Edit: I'm getting no beeps whatsoever. The video card is removed now; I haven't tried using onboard video for the monitor but the PC is only on for maybe 4-5 sec anyways.

A very common mistake I've made when doing my first build several years ago was not placing the standoffs (from mobo to case) correctly, causing the motherboard to short out. It'd come on, but it wouldn't post and would eventually turn off. So make sure there aren't any unnecessary stand offs, or in the wrong position or if you left them out, etc.

Also, make sure all connections to the motherboard are secured.

Try reassembling the computer without the case. Sometimes the case will still short out the system even if everything is put together correctly.
