Anyone want to help me get a list of components together for $1300? I'll need a monitor/keyboard/mouse/xp media with that budget; I have the speakers already. This will be used primarily for gaming.

$1,306.91

Use the $40 rebate from corsair to get a Scythe or Tuniq high performance heatsink. The above will do 3.2GHz without breaking a sweat.

You still need an extra 120mm fan for front of case, buy locally. Case and keyboard/mouse are low level, can be replaced later if desired (probally just a nicer mouse is all you need, case is cheap but superior cooling. )

That will be a kickass gamer, ohhh crap forgot the OS, well, find another $150 somewhere, beg borrow etc. you could go with Gigabyte -S3 and save about $40 but I would not. Above is a solid system. Perhaps Buffallo firesticks for memory that everyone is having a hissy fit over, but make sure its pc6400

Oh and I am not saying buy it all or part from newegg, I just know their site and can find things fast, shop around.
Pricewatch and retailer ratings are good starts.
