Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hey everyone, have a problem that has been frustrating the hell out of me.
I just got a new WD mybook for my media overflow. Works find until I try and unmount it. Then I find its still in use even though filemon shows nothing accessing the drive. I turned off indexing and still the same...
When I say ship, I mean on a big u haul, not as it having it shipped through a moving company. I just want to make sure it makes the bumpy journey without knocking them around too much. I've had bad experiences with hard drives and car drives in the past.
I guess I need to find a place to buy anti-static bags then. I have a habit of throwing away stuff I don't immediately need. I'm for sure going to ship the drives them by themselves though. They are by far the most important part to me.
I use a mach 2, that also needs to be shipped carefully...
Good advice. So I guess I'll bubble wrap all the removable components and then put them in a newspaper padded box. I actually still have my motherboard box. Do you think it would be best to remove it and ship it in that given my case? Or do you think it will be fine mounted? Any ideas on the...
Hey everyone.
I finally got into Rice University and I'm going to have to move my pc on a u-haul. The trip is about 3 hours and I'm worried about the move. I have a 3k+ system thats pretty large and I really don't have any money to replace anything. Any tips on making the move as safe as...
Bit off topic sorry.
You wouldn't happen to know anyone still selling that case would you? I used it a few years ago and just loved it, but I haven't found anyone with it for a good while now.
I'm getting ready to buy a Seagate 320gb drive for one of my older machines on a IC7-G. This mobo only supports SATA 150. I have some cables here I was planning to use from my gaming machine but they are SATA 2 cables. Now I'm guessing that the 2 vs 150 cables are pretty much the same and I can...
I'm ready to order a p180 for one of my old systems to quiet it down a bit. It's a IC7-G powered by a Corsair 520, and I'm wondering if anyone has had any cable reaching problems with the Corsair PSU's and this case, or if I need to order an extender as well.
Thanks!
Cory
I have a decent enough agp based system (P4 3.2 at 4GHz, 2gb OCZ on a ic7-g) , and I don't game all that much, so I really can't justify spending the money to go with a pci-e system just quite yet, so I've been looking for a good agp card to get me a little while longer. Just enough to get...
