AGP Card Help!

I have a decent enough agp based system (P4 3.2 at 4GHz, 2gb OCZ on a ic7-g) , and I don't game all that much, so I really can't justify spending the money to go with a pci-e system just quite yet, so I've been looking for a good agp card to get me a little while longer. Just enough to get decent rates in FEAR and the like.

Looking around on newegg, the best I see is the 7800 gs. However, after reading a artical, I saw that a X1950 for the agp was comming out around this time and sure enough googlegear (or whatever dumb name they have now) shows this card for around 240, but its out of stock. This is the only store I've seen it in yet.

My question is, what would be the best agp card I could pick up right now?

Right now it is the X1950pro AGP, if you can find one. Look around in the ATI sub forum for threads about this card. There have been rumors of a 7950gt AGP in the works as well.

LOL there are no less then 8 threads right now related tot he 1950 AGP, do a search on that exact string and you will pull them up.

Included on where to get them (BESTBUY) 279 or less with discounts etc..

Don't spend so much on an x1950blah if you're a casual gamer. An higher end x800 will do the trick, x800xt or x850xt. They can be had fairly cheap used.
