Pragmata

I played the demo. Cranked up all the settings and used the frame gen option without resolution scaling (RTX 5090) and it runs great. I liked the demo, it feels like a '90s PlayStation game. I like the hacking and weapon switching during combat.

The demo is pretty fun. I like how the default M/KB controls have the hacking thing on MOUSE4, makes a lot of sense.
damn I had no idea there was even a demo for this d/l rn. thanks

yeah no thanks, I can't even manage to get through the menus. Dumbass nonsense mouse and keyboard controls. I'm sure there's possibly a fun game here but I ain't got no time for this shit. Try harder Capcom...

It's really not that hard to understand...you hold MOUSE4 and move the mouse around to manipulate the hacking menus.

lol I'm talking about the options menu, like from the main menu. I literally noped out immediately.

so the girl on your shoulders is not annoying?...that's the main thing I'm concerned about with this game...I normally hate forced co-op or comrades...Mass Effect games had some excellent companions but most games don't...even the Fallout games I always switched out the companions once they got annoying or I finished their quests

You can try the demo for free. I didn't find her annoying.

Put your PC together and you can try it yourself.

I watched a little of Daniel Owen's performance testing and playthrough the other day. This seems like a really weird design choice, and kinda dumb imo to have to do those menu combos just to be able to do adequate damage to the enemies. Most likely not for me anyway, so I'm not missing much.

Yeah it's weird I'm not even going to try it out I don't even think it can compare to The Surge. It doesn't look very immersive even Cronos The new Dawn looks cooler.

Just played through the demo twice, 23 mins the first time and 14 the 2nd with bonus weapon and skin. Interesting combat mechanic I guess with the mini-puzzle to allow damage, and took me a min to figure out how the yellow tile bonuses work because I ADD'd through the explanation of them the first play through.

For some reason the default mouse sensitivity for the camera and puzzle cursor is stupid low, but was nice to use once I bumped that up. Performance is great, as it should be on a 5080 at 3440x1440, averaged 149 FPS maxed out without any DLSS upscaling or frame gen. But the game doesn't look esp. great either, with an odd static grain filter applied and saw no setting for it and also no DLAA (only TAA and/or FXAA which is trash). Textures/detail is meh looking, esp at the end when it's close up on the girls face on the last scene where she shows you what she was working on. Not too big of a deal though. And no, the girl wasn't annoying to me either. She's just seems to be there as a tool to allow you to hack the enemies and interact with switches. It doesn't really get into her story, so not sure if that's going to be a strong point of the game.

I may pick it up on a sale at some point. Def not compelled to buy at launch, but it's def an interesting game with unique combat that I enjoyed after a few mins getting used to it. I'm wondering how it would play with a controller too, because I don't see how you'd do the mini-puzzles nearly as quick with a joystick compared to a mouse. Maybe if it uses gyro controls it would work well.

I'm just going to reinstall The Surge 2 which I was close to finishing. Think I needed a walk through had to drain water from these floors to accend.

Out April 16th next week

I'm going to try the Demo out next week never buy games you don't play.

Cool Game slick controls and Hacking is only a few xbox face buttons. I thought it would be more complicated it's alot like The Surge.

This game is a bit weird. And I don't mean Kojima weird awesome. More like a weird kinda lame.

The android girl in this game is such a gimmick. I expect the novelty of that wears off fast. Gameplay looks, well, nothing like Dead Space which is where I thought they were going with this. It's a game about shooting robots and solving puzzles. I guess you could compare it to Horizon: Zero Dawn, but HZD's combat seems way better.

yeah I don't really get it. It's they're trying to hard to come up with a new 'thing' and it just seems kinda stupid tbh.

Everyone in Steam Forums is freaking out trying to protect this Android from the eyes of other Steam users. If the made the Android girl a real kid which they didn't. Nobody said a Thing about Death Stranding which was way weird. Too bad this game launched on Thurs. Wish it was Wed. I think I'll try the Demo some more played about 5 mins.

I enjoyed the demo a lot. However, pre-orders being 20% off kind of worries me like they are afraid they can't sell any without a markdown. I'll wait for reviews in case it's a very short or bad game.

I think I'll skip it I don't think I'll get anything out of it. I rather buy another copy of Borderlands 4 and give it to Golden Tiger.

Not pre-ordering, but I liked the demo and I'll pick it up at some point.

Practically everyone who posts comments like that in the Steam Community is a troll. I shouldn't have to PSA this, but "Beware of trolls."

It scored 85 on Metacritic. Looks like I may pick it up but I'm sure it'll go on sale again sometime soon.

Edit: Looks like preorders are still $48 on newegg with a code.

I thought it was weird for about 10 mins before I got the hang of the puzzle mechanic and then it clicked for me and I really enjoyed using it and can see it keeping me hooked for an entire game if they keep adding to it as the reviews seem to suggest they do. But I can def see it putting people off that just want more traditional combat/gaming experience. Either way, it's cool they're trying a new mechanic here to bring something fresh to games these days.

If I wasn't playing a few other things already and gaming was my only hobby fighting for my free time, I'd def be buying this immediately. So for now, I plan on picking it up the first time I see it below $40 or so.
