because we're the ogs, arrr!Pretty much. They're way over represented on old tech forums like these, but it's not normal.

My four year old has been enjoying the Switch since the summer. Though it certainly might not be completely up for the abuse. Had an incident end of last week so first time I had to disassemble any of it. Can't say I'm that impressed. Owned since new and its a launch model. One Y screw on a Joy-Con was overtightened and broke its support peg trying to unscrew it. And noticed one screw on the top that is part of what holds the back shell of the Switch itself in place just wasn't there. I hope the next time I take it off will be to put it inside something like one of those 3d printed shells to home consolize it like I've always thought there should have been a version of anyway. But it lives and the purported Hall Effect sticks replaced the drifting one and the broke one from last week. So mostly a success?
Did you check the battery's while you were in the joycons? Went to pull my apart to replace one of the shoulder buttons and had a spicy pillow, checked the other one and same thing. Haven't used them in a couple of years so they went away. I'm with you on the console shell though. Very rare that its used in handheld mode and most of that time its updating homebrew
