I've been busy with other things lately guys. Has there been any news on when the new nVidia GPU's (GeForce 300 series?) will be released?

Like that's anything new.not likely anytime soon, ATI has had working silicon for months now but can't seems to get it produced.
Probably from Charlie's (of the inq) new site since that's the only place making that dumb claim. Charlie is a moron and all he does is spew fud about nvidia.Where?

It's pretty funny how people call him out on inaccurate information and then he threatens to ban anyone who corrects him.![]()

I think Charlie got booted from the Inq.

He was and it took them long enough to get rid of that idiot.
Really? Someone posted on OCN that he finally received the boot from TheInquirer and linked to his new anti-nvidia rant blog but I havent been able to find a confirmation of his firing.
I kinda doubt he was a paid shill. Generally, companies don't want people who are complete jackasses doing that kind of thing. Those sort of people get ignored easily and also you can get egg on your face real bad, maybe even a libel lawsuit, if it is revealed they are working for you.
Had he been on ATi's payroll, more likely he would have been a lot more low key, less nVidia hater. He'd publish bad stories about nVidia, but try and do so from a neutral stance. He'd want to make it look as though he was just reporting the news, not that he had an axe to grind.
I personally think he is just a fanboy idiot. For some reason, there are people out there who get religious about hardware. Not only do they love their hardware and believe it to be the One True Way(tm) but they then hate the other guy and think they are evil. You can see people like that on hardforum. They'll just rail on one of the GPU makers, or CPU makers, etc without any real basis.
He was just a fanboy who had managed to make money being a jackass for awhile.

Not for a while. He's still at it, even if not for the Inquirer.
Last I heard ATI was way ahead of the game and plan to release next gen later this year (Sept/Oct I think it was?), Nvidia was way behind and not releasing until next year at the earliest and instead was going to do a refresh of GT200 around the same time ATI releases next gen.
From what I understand the "New architecture" is something ATI has alot more experience with and thus Nvidia is struggling, I think they hired a new designer even fresh out of college to help out.
Not gonna look for links though your on your ownThis is just everything I've read over the past couple months take from it what you will.
Could be true since G300 haven't taped out yet while AMD already has working DX11 GPUs..next spring for nvidia's dx11, and this fall for ati. Thats what I heard.
they were but have the same issue with TSMC as nvidia has, sub 30% yields just are not economically viable. hopefully Nvidia is using the breathing room to catch up
I think the only thing we can say with any kind of certainty for both nVidia and AMD is 'before Q3'10'
Q1 is possible, as is Q4'09. We'll see.
