Step 4) Get smarter.Step 1) Take your caps lock off.
Step 2) Locate the various punctuation keys on your keyboard.
Step 3) Use them...
Sounds like a simple development delay (which happened with all FF games) that allowed for the 360 development to catch up to the PS3.
Naw, Squenix specifically said when they first announced the 360 version that they would hold off releasing the PS3 version until they could do a simultaneous release of both.
The things I'd do to make this happen.Remake FF7 you fucks.
Naw, Squenix specifically said when they first announced the 360 version that they would hold off releasing the PS3 version until they could do a simultaneous release of both.
Are you certain of this? How certain are you? What are your sources? If true, is this really the fault of Microsoft, or do you think they should just not have a console on the market at all? This is why i have posted this the ps3 us version could be done and out the door before the 360 version.
"First, we will complete the game for PS3 in Japan, then begin localization for America and Europe while developing the 360 version simultaneously. The PS3 and 360 versions will be released at the same time outside of Japan although, due to language and other conditions, the game may not be released simultaneously across territories."
"Selective" might be the word you're looking for. They said that they'd be doing the port whilst they do the localisation... it's just that people have a short (or faulty) memory.
I don't really care about 13 itself either... oh well)
I thought the porting hadn't even started yet... you know, with the 360 being to blame for the delays and all. Of course, that's a little strange on its own given that Crystal Tools is a multiplatform engine.FF series is not my cup of tea, but I've read some FF13 developer comments about the difficulty they had adapting to the X360's technology.
Crystal Tools is a multiplatform engine.
"We haven't changed the direction of the development, we're making the PS3 version first, and then porting to the 360 later."
Square Enix's Taku Murata of the GM, Research and Development Division spoke to a completely packed audience at GDC this year. In a session entitled "The Technology of Final Fantasy," Murata explained the new technical direction of the company for the new generation of gaming platforms. "This is the first time Square Enix has made a technology platform that could be used across the entire company."
The platforms being targeted are PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC, although he noted that "some of our technologies support Wii. It's not 100% yet, so that's why I didn't put it up [on the slide] yet." He noted that in the past, Square Enix has made games specifically for one platform. However, that's not what they're interested in pursuing in the future. "In the past that approach, that worked and at the time I believe that was the right approach."
Crystal Tools (formerly White Engine) was multi platform from the day it was developed. The porting of FFXIII to the 360 is a completely different thing altogether, the nature of the engine just makes it far easier.

Meh, I like the FF's set to worlds like in IX better, not this technoshit.
HATED ffXII.
I think they have gone the wrong direction with Final Fantasy.
It will be interesting to see which console this game looks better on.
I hope it flops big time and the go back to less futuristic / less starwars like settings.
Remake FF6 you fucks.
