So... I just bought this whole new pc. I've got an NEC 3520A in it as my DVD player. I've got my Klipsch speakers set up and my entire pc burnt in. Now that I've got everything ready to go, I stick in LOTR to test the DVD playing ability of the system and test the awesomeness of these speakers. Up comes the installation screen for InterActual, and I install it (I'd rather not, but most DVD use it, so I thought what the heck). I get the opening menu, select play, and sit back to enjoy several hours of uncut extended goodness.
But what's this? "Video subsystem" error? I check with InterActual's support, only to find that I don't have a DVD encoder. I payed $65 for a DVD+/-RW, and I can't watch DVDs? What the f***?
I'm royally pissed at the moment. If anyone knows of any good DVD decoders, preferablly FREE, I would be most grateful.
PS I checked the NEC site, I can't find anything at all (decoder, drivers, firmware) for the 3520A.
