Battlefield 6

Your AAA slop is about to get even sloppier. Not happy with the included maps, modes, weapon balance, etc. EA has you covered.....just wait 12 months to slap down another $70 and maybe you will get lucky with a marginally better product, but if not just wait another 12 months after that.

Fake news spread on Reddit by the blue twat waffles.

BF6 better launch with a majority of large maps for tanks and helicopters, because that is BATTLEfield.

I don't want the arcade kiddy shooter Call of Duty garbage, I want HUGE maps with hills and seeing a dozen tanks rolling along with 3 or 4 helicopters above for support all heading to a far away away objective and then being met by the same amount of enemy tanks and choppers and having a BATTLE.

But these small close quarter sizes maps suck, I'll just play CS:GO instead.

The cracks are starting to show. A lot of people asking "how is EA going to fuck this up?" and we're all getting the breadcrumbs... Where are they leading hmmm...
Fucking comedy gold! All the fanboys and shills desperately regurgitated EA/DICE's lie that "it's only a beta" only for their delusions to quickly unravel once complaints about map sizes grew too loud for EA/DICE to ignore!

EA/DICE backpedaled harder than Trump releasing the Epstein files! Won't change the minds of fanboys who are desperately trying to convince themselves and everyone else that BF is back, but fucking hilarious nonetheless. I am still trying to decide which is funnier, this or the newest argument that BF6 isn't like CoD, because it is actually more like MoH Warfighter (as if that's meant to be an improvement....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣).

Well this rains on my parade. If the huge BATTLE sized maps are only a few in the main game I'm not buying it

I want GIGANTIC maps, 128 vs. 128 players, a dozen tanks for each sized, and a dozen helicopters total, all duking it out in a wild huge open desert with objectives far apart. And then have the run and gun areas in the base objective areas.

Ugh, then I woke up.

I imagine that would kill a lot of people on the low end of the specs, not sure about how consoles would fare either.

So will bf6 have dlcs?
Like bf3 and bf4 had. And that's either paid extra or free for those who bought premium.
If the game is good it will last for years, the only thing is that the large maps will probably kill performance on weaker PCs but not so much that it's unplayable.

I loved the game, but I really want to see large scale maps. Dice's statements regarding map size are a bit concerning. I pre-ordered as a gesture of good will since the beta was the most polished beta i've played in recent memory and Dice was telling us all the stuff we wanted to hear... Up until now. So I kept my pre-order, up until now. I will re-purchase once there's independent confirmation of large-scale conquest friendly maps.

gpt is trash, stop trying to use it to "win"...
I have no intention of winning anything, it’s just another source of information as far as I’m concerned. I won’t believe anything until I see the final product. Only three large maps pretty much sucks if that’s the case.

Three big maps, the biggest is mirak valley. liberation peak is like a medium one.
It's all written there, you don't need any confirmation.
https://www.ea.com/games/battlefield/battlefield-6/features/maps

Dlc packs will probably come later, all small maps or all large maps and so on, so someone buys what they like better or buys everything,or nothing.

We don't even know what DICE means by "large" at this point. The current maps are very restrictive in play area for example, effectively creating hot corridors like a moba, despite being similar in size to maps we loved in the past. If they apply that methodology to big maps... it will get old fast.

They don't do paid map DLCs anymore but I'm sure they'll bring more maps here and there if the game doesn't flop. But I'm not buying a game on future promises, unless I enjoy it enough in its current state.

Those 3 "large" maps better be mind blowing if they want my 70€.

Just back from vaycay so no beta play for me (Maui > BF6 BETA).

From what I read the cheaters had hax working on day 1 to no surprise whatsoever. Unless they let us rent servers again and have active moderation this game will be plagued like every game since BF4.

Still no server browser & cannot team switch... dreg.

Game is shaping up to be another BF5 IMHO.....

Looks like if you play 2042 you can unlock some cosmetics if you want.

"Cosmetics" in games seem so pointless and useless to me. Never have, never will pay for that crap.

Except I could sort of see in an MMORPG where you play a third person view character and look at him or her all the time for years.

I do need confirmation. Just like you need a free demo to buy a new CPU
yes, but what are my chances of getting a free demo? 1%
If it's true that preorders are high then the game will be a success.
BF1 also had both small and large maps and was well optimized and balanced.

Cancelled my PHANTOM Edition pre-order since the open-beta stopped working 🤬 /sarcasm

Re-downloading BF4 till see if it can quench my thirst for BF6 till launch. It'll be my first time playing BF4 in over five years...

They clearly over corrected themselves from the bad, over sized maps (which had very few vehicles) from 2042. BF3/4 had proper Conquest Large sized maps. Altai Range, Golmud Railway, Caspian Border, Giants of Karelia, Silk Road, Firestorm, Hammerhead, Wavebreaker, Gold of Oman, Kiasar Railroad, Bandar Desert etc. So many good maps. One that died quickly was Armored Shield which I also enjoyed. Just add a few more vehicles (default rules had too few) and everything was good.

I did like the Close Quarters DLC, which made some great maps for TDM/Domination. Despite the infantry focus in BF6, the maps aren't quite as nice as those either. The MW 2019/MW2022 maps are better designed overall, though those have smaller player counts without destruction. I would think it would not be too hard to look at maps like Bandar Desert for Conquest, and Ziba Tower for TDM/Domination infantry only.

It's not incumbent upon me to make the game a success by pre-ordering and committing to it. That's on EA/DICE to deliver. Their statements regarding large maps is not promising. If they want my pre-order money, release a 3rd beta weekend with these so called "large maps" or just their largest map. If it's good, I'm sure Steam gladly re-take my money. Otherwise i'm waiting until the game releases and check the general sentiment regarding the large maps. If it's promising, I'll buy it. If it isn't, I won't.

I won't get mad at anyone for pre-ordering or buying just because I do not, like some people. Nor will I imply anyone needs to pre-order to make the game successful, like other people. Both positions are verging on "full retard" status.

I got in a few day's early the first weekend, Then played some this past weekend. I enjoyed it. It's still battlefield overall. It doesn't feel like a clone of cod as some are saying. I've played to much cod over the last 6 years alone to know the difference. Is there a flash of it in there? Sure. Anyway the performance is good, it looks good/great. It optimized me for a steady 60-75 fps. So great job on optimization. lol at the people wanting Alan wake 2 path/ray tracing at maybe 30fps. But yeah day one for me lord willing. Is it perfect? No. But better than it's been in a long time.

Just finished my first match in BF4 (Metro of course) in over five years and it shows its age in comparison to BF6 in graphics, movement and gun play. I was also able to dive into BF6 easier than back into BF4. That being said, BF4 is a classic and will play it some more before the BF6 launch.

Battlefield 2042 - Official Road to Battlefield 6: Iwo Jima Trailer

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woteQaFBS-g

Playercount in 2042 jumped 1000% between yesterday and today.

no matter where I hit the tanks with RPG's its the same amount of damage. Hopefully its an older build for the beta and they've addressed this come full release.
The number you're seeing is the scoreboard score for damaging a vehicle not the actual damage you did. Hitting the back of the tank is definitely a lot more damage. The UI could use some tweaks for sure, stuff like this will probably get ironed out in the near future.

They don't want to split the community with premium maps anymore as it was a detriment in the past. No announcement for now, but almost 100% any new maps will be available to all players with no purchase necessary.

I got more hours out of this game than I would’ve gotten out of Mafia old country for a 50. Not sure wtf people here keep complaining about.

With Intel bundles in the wild you could probably snatch it for a 40-45 on release.

Hold on to your panties, manchild (ren).

Map is not big, I couldn’t shoot my shot, only 9 maps blah blah…

In BF3 some maps died quickly, but in BF4 most of the DLC maps had some staying power for years. The problem we'll see with this game is less maps. They'll need to charge us for something to get a similar amount of content. We all know it will be micro transactions. I'd rather just have them sell new weapons packs and allow the maps to be free. Add another 40-60 guns but release them in packs of 10 or so. Yes you can balance them properly without the paid weapons being more expensive. But I'd rather have 100+ guns and 20+ maps than 4-5 post release maps that are likely to suck. At least with DLC maps there may be more good maps designed. Even if the new maps are good, there will be what, 4-7 good Conquest maps? Not really a whole lot.

Yea, we are not getting a lot of maps compared to old times, period.

So they better be incredibly good. The fact that I find four of those mediocre already, is truly not inspiring confidence and was enough to make me cancel my pre-order.

BF3 launched with 9 maps, BF4 had 10 maps, BF1 had 9 maps, BF V had 8 maps and BF 2042 had 7 maps at launch so BF6 isn't launching with a lot less maps than BF games usually launch with. The older games got a lot of maps in the years after launch, but they didn't launch with a massive amount of maps.

Most of the maps in the beta could use some tweaks and most were decent, but could use some tweaks in where the capture points are and some of the maps are much better for one spawn than the other. Not a fan of empire state at all and Siege of Cairo works better in breakthrough than conquest IMO. Lack of maps in the beta will of course make people tired of them as the same map shows up over and over again if you play quite a bit.

Usually I only found 3-4 of the maps good, a few OK and quite a few that I hated in the each of the previous battlefields including BF1 and I skipped BF V and 2042. For me the maps in the beta were generally OK. I found Liberation peak and Iberian Offensive a bit above average, Siege of Cairo was OK and disliked Empire State. Operation firestorm was pretty good in BF 3 so likely that I find that one pretty good in BF 6 as well. If the current maps are around the middle of the pack then it should be better than a lot of BF launches for me. Operation firestorm was good in BF3 so it will most likely be good in BF6, unless they completely mess it up.

bf1 is a great game, bf6 has similar maps to bf1, the only thing is that the destruction of buildings is quite increased.Bf1 has old weapons and equipment and bf6 has modern ones
All the maps are ok for me, they will be 3-4 big and that's ok. They also introduced rush and tdm for pro players, empire state is the new metro etc. with the difference that in the metro there used to be cluster fuck and here there isn't really any. What I've been playing the beta for is that there's no camping.Pro players from Europe might be happy.
They adapted the game for everyone. If the maps are not big enough for you, you always have 2042.
So that empire map is so complicated that I have no idea where I am. It's really well made. Even better than metro and locker. There are a lot of those maps in BF games where I can't even find my way around.
Such maps are ideal for IO, TDM and Rush pro players.

I'm not talking about the launch map list, I'm talking lifetime. Paid DLCs have their perks.

So you can guarantee there will barely be any new maps after launch and that you know for certain all the maps that will be launched in the game's lifetime?
