MBM5 Does not support the Mobo
Both speedfan and hmonitor do not support the sensor chip either.
I am just hoping there is something out there that does as I would like to know temps in realtime...
I just bought the P4-530+ECS matx motherboard from Fry's ... was a mild upgrade but the biggest benefit was I got to reuse my ddr memory and agp video card. The question I have is what cpu/mobo monitoring software should I use to keep track of temps and fan rotation. ECS does not seem to have...
Anyone know if you can get replacement parts, like extra screws and the plastic caps that go on the ends of the support beams? When I moved the movers "somehow" lost some parts. BTW Just so everyone knows according to Ikea the only "add-on" shelves you can buy are painted silver, not matching...
So I have an Athlon XP 2800+, Asus A7N8XE-Deluxe MOBO. The cpu cooler is the tt silent boost and I have an intake and exhaust fan, each running and pushing/pulling air. My video card is a PNY 6800 with the stock cooler. Since upgrading to this mobo and cpu I have had major problems. It seems...
I have the same exact motherboard and am having nothing but problems with it. So far I have replaced the cpu, and the PS. I am sending this mobo back to Asus for repair/replacement (this will be the 2nd time). Good luck on this one ... its under warranty send it back.
So I tried a bunch a stuff and ended up calling Asus back. I spoke to two techs and the consensus is that the mobo I have from them (which after talking to the rma people is the same one I originally had but they "fixed") is bad and I need to send it back to them.
So crossing my fingers in a...
Ok,
Based upon suggestions from here I have tried some stuff last night.
I unplugged both cdroms, removed any pci cards and the only things plugged in were the video card, hard drive, cpu fan, and on1 case fan. It will actually power up but after a few seconds it shuts off. And during...
Ok it's a PNY 6800 AGP says on the box a 300 ps is required. So I should be fine, in fact on my old mobo I was until I switched them out. Could the mobo be drawing more juice than the older mobo? Old was a kt400x8 or something from albatron, pretty bare bones mobo and with the gpu was working...
Ok long story but here are the relevant details or so I hope.
So about end of Jan time I ordered from newegg a ASUS A7N8DLX or whatever that K7 board is for my athlon xp 200. I also ordered a gig of PC3200 corsair xms (not the XL stuff but still the plaitinum heatspreader matched set etc...
I am installing mine tomorrow, bought it from CompUSA in Frisco, TX ... no loose caps here so I am hoping for the best. I will update this thread tomorrow with my success/failure story. Also no orange sheet in my box.
Got two today at 9am here in Texas .. one for me and one for a friend. Since both of us are upgrading from crap (him GeForce3 and me GeForce FX5200) we are ecstatic already and not worried about overclocking and ultra stuff. Thanks for the heads up ... I didn't know about it until I read this...
I used to have them where I worked but now my employer no longer gets its money from a venture capitol firm ... now I am a cog in the corporate machine sitting on uncomfortable chairs ... woe is me :(
