Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm going to try removing the cmos battery I suppose but that seems like kind of a hail marry that shouldnt work lol.
So if HP/compaq didnt configure the bios for my system to use the card how might I, assuming its possible at all, go about getting a bios that will allow me to configure it...
after some digging around inside the case I discovered that the motherboard inside is an asus A7VBX-LA
Apparently it was made by asus for compaq/hp and thus asus doesnt support the board or at least it doesnt support drivers/bios as far as I know.
I've been googling different search terms...
I do but I cant find any settings for it in there lol.
Here is what I got

ps/2 mouse
onboard 1394

I tried installing some raid drivers I got from hp.com but no luck. I have also been unable to find any mention of the drive or controller in bios.
any ideas?
I got an old PC from work that I want to use as a file server and I just noticed it has 2 sata ports labeled sata1 & sata2.
I cant find settings for them in bios however and the PC wont detect a drive connected to either of them. I have been all over google but cant find anything about it...
I'm in search of an 8GB flash drive and would like to get whatever the fastest available is but I find that all the sites and reviews I look at say each individual drive is typically slow. So does anyone know of a really fast one?
by fast I mean read/write speed of course. I'd really like...
not at all. Just a quality solution that will get the job done. Thinking some sort of 500GB seagate(yet to have a seagate go bad so why not) internal drive and one of the cheaper better reviewed enclosures from newegg.com

whenever I see user reviews for external drives they are pretty much all bad lol.
Personally I am looking for an external storage solution for my large media files like pictures, movies, and music. My biggest priority is the data itself, I'm gonna try to back it up...
well my friend suggested I ebay the receipt and I thought what the hell lol.
I also included the call of duty 4 that was in the disk tray along with my personal copy of that anti walmart documentary :)
stupid I know but whatever....just gonna try to have fun with it now.
Well it was bought as a gift and once I was talked into letting my sibling open it early we discovered the disk and what not and the following day I went to return it and started this journey.
I guess in the future I will pay A LOT more attention to this sort of thing and all I can assume is...
So for the sake of argument IF the number on the receipt was scanned off my purchase and is different from that of the SN# on the console is it possible that a similar barcode was elsewhere on the box and was accidently scanned? If so does anyone know where such a mystery bar code might be?
I...
I was told that if that happened the other person would not have been able to return it as I am unable.
Also when they scanned the console bar code at the time of purchase wouldnt it have put the right one on the slip? According to the store manager she checked to see if maybe it was hand...
I am at my wits end here...
