I'm in search of an 8GB flash drive and would like to get whatever the fastest available is but I find that all the sites and reviews I look at say each individual drive is typically slow. So does anyone know of a really fast one?

by fast I mean read/write speed of course. I'd really like something that handles larger numbers of smaller files as well as large files.

thanks in advance

I got the 8GB Corsair Voyager and its pretty fast, vista loves it :D

I got a 16GB Corsair Flash Survivor and its pretty damn fast so I am pretty sure the 8GB is good too.

The fastest is the OCZ Rally 2 Turbo but they cost a lot more than others and are hard to find. I have the Corsair Flash Voyager GT in 8gb which also very fast though I do not see it available anywhere now. Even though I have 2 Voyagers I do not like the form factor. The rubber is a lint magnet and you can not use 2 usb next to each other.

I would just get the regular OCZ Rally 2. I have 2 of them and they have performed flawlessly. They have a great form factor as well.

These ones by Patriot are fast and reasonably priced: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220252

I have the 4GB version and see similar performance to this poster: http://www.hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1031907036&postcount=10

The 32GB version has a few web reviews and show about the same performance, so it's probably the same across the whole Xporter XT series. The Patriot review above shows it is faster than the OCZ Rally 2 in HD Tune and a couple of other benchmarks. For lots of smaller files the Rally 2 is faster though.
