Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
You could flash the bios to a GT and get all 16, but if those extra 4 don't work or something, flashing back doesn't work and you're stuck with a $300 paperweight. Supposedly the next version of RivaTuner will be able to open them with a simple softmod, so everybody is just waiting for it to be...
nforce2 is socket a! You will want nforce3-250 since it has the agp/pci lock and performs faster than the nforce3-150. I would suggest the EPoX EP-8KDA3J or the MSI K8N Neo Platinum. They both seem to be the big sellers as of late.
 Seems this only fixes it for a day or 2. Then I just reflash the BIOS and it's back. I don't really mind it that much, but it scares me that I'm flashing them so often. I go to LANs alot which makes me even more scared since theres much more possibility of the power going out or something...
CS:Source is Counter-Strike running on the Half-Life 2 engine, so basically he's asking which he should get for HL2 based games.
My local Lan Center just got the CS:S Beta. The computers they have there are: 2.8 Ghz Intel P4Es, Nvidia GeForce FX 5700, and 1GB Kingston PC3200 DDR RAM. They run...
It seems reflashing my bios with a floppy and not the "flash in windows" thing worked. I've restart 3 or 4 times without a problem :D
Thanks for the help!
I'm thinking that my motherboard might be bad.. Everytime I restart or even cold boot, I have to open up my case and clear the CMOS.
It use to do this when I first got my motherboard but I could not return it because I was going out of town with it to a major LAN. I upgraded my motherboard...
I had that problem with this motherboard also. I'm sorry to say I seriously do not know what I did to fix it, but I eventually did. I have the chipset drivers from the aopen site, and the 1.13a beta BIOS. I've also formatted my windows drive afew times. I recently got a 6800 which is when I...
This is a wierd problem I'm having. Whenever I run something like Quake 3 timedemos or a CPU burn in program, my computer will be rock solid while it's running, but once I turn it off, just afew seconds later, my computer will completely lock up. This doesn't make sense to me! I'm not...
