6mb/768k DSL

:p

God, that sounds expensive (yet tasty!). Is that strictly for personal use, or are you hosting stuff/running a business?

personal for about the next few days till i get this site going --> cainsconsulting.net

100/month, not really that expensive, especially since i dont watch tv...it's better than the 100+/month for cable internet + cable tv - better speed too

20/month for the first 3 months.

so far i've been extremely pleased in dealing with speakeasy - they've been prompt at answering any questions i've had since i placed the order

Do you know how far you are from the exchange? I've been looking at that service as well, but I'm curious as to how close you'd need to be in order to get that level of service.

oh yah

im 2500 feet from the CO

:D

you gotta be with 10000 feet for the 6mb service

man, I don't care about 6mb down, 3 is more than enough for me... but I WANT SOME UPLOAD PEOPLE. :D

nothing special, i'm getting 5000/800 for 45 $CAN a month, which is what, 35 USD.

Typically its within a few miles. You can prequalify online at http://www.dslreports.com

This is funny. I'm now typing this on my mom's brand spanking new 512K DSL line (Sprint w/ Earthlink). She's 2.7 MILES from the exchange, so I don't think she'll be getting any offers for a service upgrade any time soon (not that she would ever need it).
