XP and File Caching

I am using my laptop to access files that im using for a project. These files are named the same thing every time, but are updated very often (they are .bmp files). My problem is that winXP will cache the files, so even though they have been updated, when i open them for a second time they show the original data, and not the updated data.

Anybody know how to disable the caching of files like this (it does the same thing with .xls files that im using) for a specific folder in XP?
