how would this card run games like vegas, GRAW 2, and Halo Vista with an am2 x2 @ 2.5 ghz and 3gb of ram on a 19 inch ws lcd? How about on a 20.1in ws lcd?
 
It would depend on the screen resolution that you would be running at. The higher the resolution, the lower the performance.

And as the last person posted. If you can get an XT version for a good price, get that as the performance gain is very dramatic on the XT vs Pro.
 
screw performance gains, get the XT because its not an RV570 chip, and therefore not prone to its quirks / abismil(sp) overclocking.

It would prob play GRAW at decent settings, its not top of the line but its a good card. But I wouldn't trust the x1950pro if i were you. Mine isnt 100% stable at stock memory clocks (well sapphire ultimate clocks). And ive heard similar problems with other x1950pro's, not to mention VRM overheating problems on a few of them.

I don't have anything personal against ATI, I just hate the x1950pro with a passion.
 
I posted a thread called: "dual HIS x1950pro's" with some 3dmark06 score pics in there. I run every game I have at maximum graphics and AA with the exception of Everquest 2 which Is still shaky on high quality(2 more settings higher are available too; very high quality and Ultra I do believe). I run EQ2 on high quality but I have to tweak it down when in groups of 4-6 because of the graphical lag from all the various spells.

Oh if you are playing on a 17" then 1280x1024(or whatever odd second # your screen supports) is pretty much the max resolution. I have a 21"(20.5 viewable) CRT but I play all my games at 1280x1024 as higher resolutions do nothing but make games run slower in my opinion. With the specs in my signature, and running 3dmark06 @ 1280x1024 I get a score of 8151. I can probably go higher with some more overclocking of the CPU but I'm happy with it like it is....for now.
