Either the S5520UR I have doesn't like spicy CPU's, the board is dead, or it hates the RAM I have installed, because it goes into an infinite loop and refuses to POST.
I've decided to jump on an SR-2 while I have an excuse :p B-Stock has them for $400...anyone have one for less? I saw one the other day for $300 but its gone now :(

What bios do you have and what chips?

You might just be missing a microcode.
 
The S5520UR uses UEFI I believe. Not sure what version it has.
I have Q1GF X5560's; CPU-World says they're D0 stepping, so I'm not sure whether an incompatibility is even possible...of course, Intel could be making the asshole move of explicitly preventing ES CPU's from booting on their official board :( It stops at "entered EFI Driver Execution Phase" and restarts.
I suppose I should be less lazy and pull apart my other rig to test the CPU's in.
 
I suggest starting a thread. If this is the issue I think it is, it has been fixed before.
