Huge gamble I know. Hoping someone has one laying around that they would be willing to part with. Drop me a line.

I wish they still made those little media touchpad/keyboard combos with the hinged cover. I still have one but it's seen better days, lol. Good luck in your search.

I have the TK820 but it lacks is the kybd lumination.
Appreciated. Looking more for the K830. The sound profile, press, and size factors lean me away from the TK820...Thanks for reaching out though.

Thanks....going to be rough. My cat loves occupying my desk, so I need a good lap keyboard when she decides to claim dominion in front of my Keychron....My K830 has treated me very well in this regard, especially having a touchpad built in it makes great use when I want to kick my feet up and type away, or the cat scenario. The micro USB port finally broke on on mine. So it's either find another one, or invest into a new solder station and required accessories to fix it...Which I really don't want to deal with at this moment...haha.

is it a small task or a much bigger task on the soldering job?

If all you're looking for is something with a built-in touchpad, why not just get a K400 Plus? I guess it's not illuminated, though.

Shouldn't be super difficult. I just don't have my soldering equipment anymore. So would need to buy a new one, flux, smaller soldering tip, solder sucker/whick. The amount I'd spend, could just buy a new keyboard...So testing the waters and hoping someone has one to sell.

Build quality. I've typed on a K400 before...I don't care much about the illuminated keys, I can type blind and don't need to see them. But the overall feel of a k830 compared to the k400 is vastly superior. Have gotten used to it, and don't want to downgrade myself. It's honestly shocking a hole has been left in this market for such a keyboard....Even now I see people complaining on reddit that the K830 has been discontinued, and no good replacement available.
