i'm looking to buy a Canon S500 or SD300, leaning towards the latter.

i want a new one because it's a gift. If anyone has got one or knows a good site that is reliable site, let me know. newegg is what i've got so far and they have it for $350 and $330 respectively.

great site for cheap camera's. i looked up the two you listed, and they're a few dollars cheaper, but i dont know how it'd work out with shipping and what not.

actually i just rechecked their prices and they are cheaper with shipping. the question is how good is this place? resellerrating has mixed reviews. have how your dealings with them been? from the reviews it seems like people have problems with them trying to push people into buying accesories and they ship slow. is that accurate?

yeah when i called to confirm my order, they kept trying to get me to buy an extra battery. but it got shipped to me quickly, so it didn't bother me. i would reccomend them
 
that doesn't sound too bad. have you have heard of buydig.com? someone recommend them and they have the best prices.
