Hi Everyone,

(EMAIL: ljwhitaker@csupomona.edu)

I want to buy a bare bones computer for my wife to do video editing on. Budget is $500.

CPU: XP/64 2800 and up or P4/Xeon 2800Mhz and up
Memory: 1000MB
Motherboard: whatever supports the above (soundcard/NIC built in a plus)
Case: plain with a good powersupply (350Watt enermax/sparkle/etc and above)

I have DVDR, HD, and VIDEO, and NIC

Basically the faster the CPU the better. A quiet case is a plus as well. I need a keyboard and mouse too.

Thanks everyone.

Luke

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all of the great offers. So far I have someone offering a P4 3.4Ghz 775 cpu/mem/mobo/case/floppy/cdrom combo for $550.

Gunstrife: I'm located in Orange County, California. What do you want the case + combo you listed above shipped?

Bigbadbiologist: The above looks really good. Do you have a floppy, mouse, keyboard you can throw in? I'm considering your offer.

LeBronville: Thanks for the offer. The CPU is slower than what other people have offered.

To everyone else who pm'ed me, I'm responding right now .

Please keep the offers coming...

Luke

Hi Everyone,

I purchased a bare-bone Dell Dimension 8400 with 1GB of DDR2 ram, a P4 775 3.4GHz CPU, floppy, keyboard, and mouse for $520 shipped.

Thanks for all of the offers everyone.

Luke

lol

after all these offers, he ended up buying a Dell. :D

Well, it's a Dell, but not from Dell. Calvin got a Dimension 8400 stripped out the video card, HD, and DVD buner and sold it to me as a bare bone. I couldn't have gotten a bare-bone system like this from Dell.
