WMP 11 plugin doesnt work in firefox

for the life of me i cant get Windows media player files to play with firefox...

i have WMP 11 and i tried to go back to 10 but i cant even find anywhere to download it from...

i dont know it is just really pissing me off that i have to switch to IE just for WMP files...

you cant go back to MP 10, it says that in the installer i recall.

ok but there has to be a way to get some plug in that will play wmp files in firefox

You have a few options, depending on the web page. Here are some of them.

First option, IE tab. You just click the icon in the corner and Firefox will switch into IE compatibility mode.

Second option, adjust download actions. From in Firefox, choose "Options..." from the "Tools" menu. Click the "Download" tab. Press the "View and Edit Actions..." button. Locate all the extentions in question, and adjust them.

Third option, a plugin from Microsoft. It may make firefox unstable, and I don't know if it works with MP11, but here it is.
