I'm sure this has asked before but can't find it since search is disabled.

I'm a college student and always on the go basically. I have a pretty nice laptop with nextel wireless so I can basically check my email just about anywhere (which is rather important well sort of) but the huge problem is the laptop is clunky. So I'm looking for a PDA that has a PCMCIA slot if that's possible, or atleast has 802.11x (a, b or g doesn't matter really). Would have to support some email client and would like to spend less than $400, hopefully less than $300. Any suggestions? Am I out of my mind? Any help is greatly appreciated.

keep your eyes on sony clie new model TJ-37 MRSP is $300, and TH-55 MRSP is $400.
they are coming out in feb, i assume. both with wifi 802.11b integrated.

Well I am going to recommend the Dell X3i. Justgot mine a week ago and it is great. It's a pocket pc and you can find them from Dell for 300 bucks. Built in Wireless is great and it has all the features that higher end modLes have. I am using Mine right now.

I'm sure you can definately find something in that price range. Most pocketpc devices already have a mail program built-in that works quite well. The Axim is a nice model. The new ones already have built-in wireless. Very nice.

I have an old Toshiba E740 w/ built-in wireless. You can find those used for under $200 used.
