Wireless KB + Mouse direction?

Just wondering if these bad boys are supposed to transmit 360 degrees or if they must be pointed in the general direction of the reciever. And if anyone can recommend a particularly good set, which preferably CAN transmit from any angle, rechargeable, and a pretty good distance too. Thx.
 
i have the Logitech mx duo which comes with the mx 700 and the elite KB which are both wireless. you can get the elite by itself and its pretty nice in my opinion. im pretty sure all KB do 369 degrees
 
From my experience with a few wireless logitech keyboards they need to be point towards the receiver, similar to a TV remote (not necessarily right at it but in the general direction). I really like the logitech keyboards, they've always had good quality. I've had this keyboard for over 4 months and I haven't had to replace the battery yet, an older keyboard of mine didn't need to be replaced for over 9 months (so recharging isn't too much of problem) and I use the computer very heavily.
 
If you get an infrared wireless, you'll have to be within about a 30 degree window of the receiver for it to work. Range will depend on ambient lighting, incandescent lights won't bother it, but sunlight falling on the receiver will. If you get a RF wireless, they work 360. I use a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse, RF style, and can easily move 15 feet from the receiver without it burping.

What I'm looking to find now is a wireless RF MINI keyboard / mouse. Only ones I can find are IR!
