has anyone bought this from newegg? its pretty cheap. but i was wondering if the cd it comes on is a bootable cd. i would hate to buy it and then have the cd not be bootable.

I wouild think its the same as you can buy in stores. OEM? And yeah, its almost definately bootable.

i always use a bootable cd to install windows so i want to make sure its bootable. i have had other windows xp pro cd's that werent bootable and its a pain in the butt.

I think they tell you in the description...I have yet to see a non-bootable XP cd...

The OEM one? It IS bootable, I've bought 2 or 3 of 'em from NewEgg. Just like a copy of XP you'd buy at Microcenter or Compusa except instead of a box, it's in celophane.

If you want/need XP, buy it. No reason not to (especially at that price).

Yup its bootable. My cousin bought oem version of it from newegg and everything is perfect.
