• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

I went to windows update downloaded new patches but they fail to install, anyone know if they have a problem with the site right now? A few people seem to be having the same problem posted on the MS site just wondering if any of you guys are having this problem right now. Thanks for any replies

Do you have automatic updates enabled, if so try rebooting, somthing may have installed that requires a reboot.

You can often narrow down the cause of windows updates errors by looking at the windowsupdate log file in your Windows directory.

What update/s was it that failed ?

As I had a single update fail the other day and it was because I had a service disabled, upon enabling the service it worked.

Thanks for the replies found the answer on another forum if anyone else has this problem this worked for me.Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
Type the following commands. Press ENTER after each command.
regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wups2.dll
regsvr32 wuweb.dll

There is also a program called "Dial a Fix" that will automate this process for you. It can also fix some other Windows Update related problems.

Did you just install Windows XP SP3? If so you can fix it using this method.
