Windows ME troubles again

Hey everyone,

For some reason lately, if I switch programs (ALT-TAB) some icons in the programs become jet black or completely distorted. After ALT Tabbing a few more times, sometimes it will go away, but usually I have to restart. Just a moment ago I had Microsoft Word open and I opened up Internet Explorer. When I did, my Microsoft W in the task bar went jet black and my Internet Explorer icons were huge and distorted. This happens with AIM too, sometimes I can't even read the buddy list it's so distorted. Sometimes when I'm having this problem, I'll get a "there is not enough free memory to save" message in Word. Most of the time I just have Word, IE, and AIM going. Any ideas on what is wrong? This happens in all programs by the way.

Computer specs: HP N5310 laptop, 13.3in screen, 766mhz, 128MB RAM, 10GB HD.

Thanks

That's typical Win9x-behaviour.

9x never could handle multitasking properly, and redrawing the taskbar while doing something else counts as multitasking.

If you HAVE to use Windows, get Win2k.
