Windows 10 Spinning Wheel Loading Indefinitely

Hello,

When I am in "My Computer" and right-click on drives I get a spinning wheel that keeps on spinning and all folders that are open hang up until I end "Explorer" task though "Task Manager".

Also happens when I open "File Explorer" and right-click on devices in left menu as you can see on photo.

Any ideas why this happens?

any utilities installed that add right-click options, like 7zip or winrar does? ive also seen people suggest that network discovery can cause it, though ive never seen it myself...

Have you tried: sfc /scannow

Open up a command prompt as an administrator and run the command: sfc /scannow

On top of this I would also run check disk with “chkdsk C: /x /r” (no quotes)

pendragon1 Executioner Shoganai I remember using ShellExView program to edit context menu and remove Skype from there... It was long time ago but maybe it caused this? Or maybe I did something else. SFC /Scannow won't cause issues down the road by repairing files?

could cause it, im not familiar with it.
no sfc should only fix bad system files, should be fine but may or may not fix this.

Inaccessible net share
Stuck/excessive file operation (open, save, move, antivirus scan, etc)
Unreadable disk (CD/DVD/USB etc)
Dieing/dead hard drive

Those are generally the cause of stuck explorer.

This is the error I get after ending Explorer task.
It seems like it calls for remote process but something fails?

pendragon1 Nobu Can SFC fix this error? Maybe inaccessible net share is the culprit.
