why $100 more?

Er, the Best Buy one has an Athlon II M300 and the Newegg machine has an Intel T4300.
 
Those specs aren't the same. As Trombe said, one has a Athlon II and the other has a Pentium Dual Core. AMD laptops tend to cost less...
 
Total lack of understanding of computing hardware displayed by OP.

There is nothing about these two machines that is the same, other than the screen size, memory size and hard drive size. Those the same laptop do not make.

ok, thanks for pointing that out. And why specifically is that bad? If RAM, HDD, screen size is same why pay $100 more just for Intel?

There's sometimes a bit of difference between the performance of an Intel processor vs and AMD processor at the same speeds. And "GENERALLY" the Intel chipset that usually accompanies the Intel CPU tends to be more trouble free. But Intel Graphics sucks, so if you're doing more than just general office work, go with the AMD laptop.

I think by your statements you don't feel justified in paying $100 more. Then don't.

But yes it is faster. Some people care about battery.
