Hey guys, I was wondering I have now 256 mb off DDR2, as you can see I need more. Should I shell out 120 for a 512 stick of DDR2 or get a gig of DDR 3200 for 120 or so?

DDR won't fit into a DDR2 slot. 768Meg should be fine for a while.

im confused. anyway, 1 gig of ram is/should be the standard amount of ram in everyones machine today. get whatever fits on your motherboard. pc3200 is good stuff

and if u buy cheap stuff expect cheap stuff (most of the time)

DDR has different fittings, and has a different memory controller to ddr2.
you have to get ddr2, as ddr will not work.

yeah i know that, I have both ddr 1 and ddr2 slots. Also got pci-e and an agp slot. This moboard is pretty sweet.

then get ddr, ddr2 is less good performance till we reach ddr2 800.
get some twin x 3200 2225 or if you oc, the 4400 from corsair or ocz.
1gb
