What is a good, cheap, simple, computer case?

Here's a decent one, the Ultra Wizard Case.

Per your requirements: cheap, simple, easy to work with. I've already gotten 3 of these in the past and they are pretty good considering the price (FREE AFTER REBATE) & free shipping too!.

Ultra Wizrd Case.

Definitely hard to beat that price. Makes you wonder what's wrong with it if they're giving it away for free after rebate.

The Wizard is a good case. Frys also had a special on a white antec case which include a pretty nice 350watt power supply that was sli ready. The case was around 4 bucks with tax and after rebates but it was picked up in the store.

Nothing really wrong with them. Its just they probably ordered too much of them and they are now sitting stock. The reason they are free after rebate is because a high percentage of people never mail the rebate.

Read a user review that said the top front USB port is unusable due to the lid and that the CPU air duct doesn't line up with the cpu (although if it's adjustable, maybe that guy just didn't know what he was doing).

I'd probably get it anyway but I like to have audio ports on the front.

I think its a safe bet he didnt know what he was talking about. Those side CPU ducts are to keep the older very hot running Intel CPUs with a cool supply of air.
Since must mobos have the CPU in different places its kind of silly to think 1 place will fit all of them.

If you are looking for a inexpensive case how can ANYONE find fault with $0?

Absolutely nothing wrong with the Ultra Wizard case. As i've said before, i've already gotten 3 of these cases free after rebate. This goes really well with the Free after rebate Ultra 500 watt PSU that Fry's also sells frequently.

The front usb works. The side duct is functional and does its job as an additional intake hole.

If you are an extreme overclocker and/or using high end components, then this case might not be for you. Then again if you are a hardcore overclocker and/or using premium parts, i highly doubt you'll be using this case anyways.

Lol, this case is for people who want the best bang for their buck...

Is Ultra a good brand for power supplies? Just found a review and the guy said it ran a 8800 GTX fine. I'm looking at the 8800 GS so I should be fine with this one.

Any idea when the next rebate will come for it?

While we know that these aren't the best, quietest performing PSU's out there, it gets the job done. I've also gotten a few of these FAR and they are all working perfectly. As you said, the verdict at legitreviews is quite positive, and the reviewer doesn't quite understand how ULTRA makes money on these decent power supplies. Best bang for the buck PSU...can't beat free.

As for when they will be free again, i really don't know...you just have to check the dealsites and frys.com often. :)

I wouldnt say GOOD, I would say better than nothing. I bought 4 of the Ultra 500watt PSs when they were free to $9 at Radioshack.com.

2 Worked and 2 were dead. The ones that worked are still working fine. But I would not use one with a 8800. (Im sure there are people that swear by them but not me)
