What did you all do to learn html? By yourself, took classes, did it take a long time or did you catch on easily. I am very interested in learning.
 
back in 1996 a friend of mine wrote his own webpage (in Notepad no less), and i sat and watched how he did it. That got me hooked. I learned HTML pretty easily, but actual web design was much harder. Then i discovered that "View Source" was probably the best learning tool ever! :)

Yep, that's how I learned how to do a kind of fake equal length column that worked across browsers (derived from Eric Meyer's site).
 
tought it to myself in 6th grade, just by downloading homesite (before it was owned by macromedia) and using the buttons, then i would see what that changed in the design and memorize the code for it, now i just use dreamweaver, but strictly code (no buttons for me :))
