What are you nerds playing this weekend?

I've gone back and played Nioh 1. I recall it was a fun game but I never finished it. When I loaded my save game I didn't know how to do anything so I gave up and started a new game and ya, it is still a very fun game. I also switched up and played Day of Defeat Source and Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

So far been playing Fallout 3 and happened to cross off one of things on my bucket list.

Discovered a Raider sitting on the can so I shot her with a .50 BMG in the crotch. Don't think she was expecting that. :D

Borderlands 4 going to test our my 14700k if temps get too high 90s I'm going to put my Noctua G2 back on. Already have the chip downclocked. Using a U12A now which I like better due to size. Summer ambient temps would change everything.

Got hooked deeply on Witcher 3 again and am currently enjoyed a 'Signs-focused build' playthrough. Hoping the rumours of new Witcher 3 DLC releasing this year is true (supposed to act as a bridge between 3 and 4). Not just for the new content, but for the possibility of official FSR4 support.

My last playthrough I did a Sign-focused build on DM and it was quite fun, albeit a bit spammy with how short your recovery times can get near the end. Normally I end up with a Cat or Ursine build in my last 4-5 playthroughs, but I wanted to mix it up my latest one.

I did make to a point to Ard enemies off cliffs/from height any chance i got btw. Bit of a self-imposed challenge but it never got old watching em fly off that cliff face haha.

I found with things like Griffons and other fliers, I could darn near stun lock them on the ground and never let them get into the air, so in that regard it felt a bit cheap.

Man, first im hearing about a bridge DLC! I'm actually both excited and a bit apprehensive about how it'll play out if true. We shall see.

Restarted Metal Gear Solid 3 again, just couldn't get into legacy mode so replaying with the newer style mode.

Division 1, some Global Event, Strike I think. Survivial,Legendary, and Incursion missions.

Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand
A very addictive game, but there are some really annoying bugs in the flying mob battles.

I know it is Thursday, but I am out tomorrow so I thought WTH?

I am planning on playing a metric-shit-ton of Ni No Kuni.
Also Sonic Kart racing on the Vita came up free on PSN and is fricking awesome so some of that.

If I get bored Bioshock Infinite also came up free on PSN (nice) so I may try that...
Have no plan tbh but i think im gonna go with yours too haha thanks

Been playing a lot of overwatch, it is actually pretty good again. The playercount has peaked on steam and hit another peak after a week, so it seems retention is actually good and not just dropping off a cliff

Jedi Fallen Order
Jedi Survivor

I wanted to play both Force Unleashed Games....but that's going to require me digging out my PS3/PS4 and the discs.
Apparently you need Playstation Plus, and I'm not paying for a subscription. I'd rather buy digital copies.

Currently Arc Raiders when my buds are on. Mewgenics and Monster Train 2 when I have some solo time.

Finished Assassin's Creed 2. What a weird ending, game was cool though.
Been playing Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered and they finally fixed the controls! But I have to use my GlovePIE to rebind most of the controls since the game won't let you use the # pad.
Game does look good though and I love the fact that I can run without having to hold down 3 buttons at once now.

Also I got the game when I bought Assassin's Creed Odyssey, so in order to run it, I had to install Odyssey first and run it at least once so Ubisoft would quit asking me for the CD code for Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered smh.

Almost done with Far Cry 6 and still having fun with Fallout TTW.
Gave up on Silent Hill Welcome Home, got past the Hotel part and just wasn't feeling it anymore.

Gonna start the Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty expansion
Finished Menace early access. That's going to be a must play game when it fully releases.

Finished Final Fantasy X on Steam this weekend. Wife watched me and she cried at the end. I don't blame her - it's a sad ending for sure. Great game. They don't make them like this anymore.

Riftbreaker. New patch, new free content with new turrets and a new zone to explore.

Atomfall.

Fantastic post-apocalyptic game. Right there with Fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Play it on Survival mode as intended. There are 6 different endings and achieved 2 so far ("Joyce Tanner" and the Telephone endings), may even buy all the extra content and try to max out the achievements in this one. The game is THAT good.

Can't stress enough how happy I am that games like this are being made again. Just when I thought we were stuck with Ubisoft, Rockstar, EA games, etc. forever there's a certain type of quality-rich game being made again that feels like it has actual substance.
Agree 100%. Best surprise of 2025 for me. Old school is best possible way, but with gorgeous graphics. I do recommend the DLC.
I hope theres a sequel.

mewgenics! been getting a good kick out of it as of recent even if i don't play that much turn-based games

The Division 2 Anniversary month with special events and caches, also it's Global Event Assault this week, last week it was Ambush. It seems like Massive are putting in the TD1 GE for the second game. It's been a blast.

I was planning a NG+ run of Resident Evil Requiem, but that turned out to be a bit of a bust. I'm pivoting over to High on Life 2 to kill some time until Death Stranding comes out.

Downloaded Wasteland 2 - Director's Cut. Haven't played this version of it, but I did play it when it came out. Liking it a lot so far.

The good thing about getting old, you can't remember the fine details of a game you played over 11 years ago, it's like a new game almost!

Last time I played this game, I had a different house, job, car, lived in a different state, had two living parents, and my kids were babies.

Isonzo, one of my favorite multi FPS over the past few years. I have 98 hours in it and I'm at level 106. It's currently free on EPIC games so the servers are currently full of newbies. I feel just a bit bad about outplaying them. :ninja:

It's free because they are releasing their next game, Gallipoli this year. Now is a good time for anyone who is sick of CODs, BF's, Battle Royals, etc to try something different.

I've been playing a lot of Tears of the Kingdom for the S1 lately - really enjoying it, was going to hold out until I got a S2 to play it on (for the increased resolution and FPS) but tried out the 'tutorial area' and have been hooked since. The frame rate's not great (must be sub-30 in spots) but I've since gotten used to it. Considered going the emulation route for the game, but didn't have the patience to figure out why my desktop emulator kept creating a new game folder for the game (messing up my save file syncing with my ROG Ally). ROG Ally emulated the game nicely (definitely maintained a more stable framerate once the shader caching was complete). TBH, If I didn't already have so many hours on the S1 version, I'd probably have played it on Ally instead.

Also picked up DQ III HD-2D Remaster (or whatever the full name is) during a Square Enix Steam sale. Only have about an hour in (and want to finish TOTK before really digging into it), but enjoying it. Really liking the art style for the game - hoping Square will treat the Final Fantasy series to HD-2D Remasters.
