Well I got it for $352.94 taxed and shipped with an Estimated Ship Date: on or before 6/5/2006. I know all about the color banding issue but I like everything else about it to outweigh it. Also Dell's latest answer has me feeling good that it will be taken care of if it is a problem. I am hoping this latest batch has the new firmware already but even if its not, it sounds painless to get one that is.

Anyone else jumping on this thing this late? Seems like a lot of people have given up on it due to the banding issue.
 
I received one today. I think it may experience a slight color banding issue though so i will probably contact Dell for a replacement that has the firmware update but other then that i think the LCD looks pretty good. There are other models out there from Viewsonic and Samsung that have nice panels but i dont like the looks of them or the stands they use. Dell has the best stands as well as a 3 year warranty with advanced replacement.
