Weird Keyboard Problem

My problem:
When my computer boots up and I reach the Windows XP login screen, I lose all keyboard functionality. It will not even let me switch Caps Lock on and off. The problem began occuring when I switched out an MSI motherboard with a blown-up cap for an ASUS A7V600-X motherboard. Everything appeared to work fine until it got to the Windows login screen and I became stuck. What could be causing this? How can I fix it?

Notes:
I am using a generic PS/2 keyboard with no fancy options.
I flashed my BIOS to the latest version and experienced the same problem.
The keyboard works in the BIOS setup screen and while booting.
I tried a different PS/2 keyboard and experienced the same problem.
I have not reinstalled Windows XP since the motherboard switch.

Any suggestions/tips would be greatly appreciated because this is bugging the hell out of me. :)

Nevermind, I just fixed it.

I reverted to an older BIOS version and it fixed the problem.
I guess there are problems with the new BIOS.
