I tried installing the first Midtown Madness, and it crashed and now my desktop icons are gone, I can restore some of them, but some won't come back, also, system restore doesn't seem to help, any help?
 
Did you try right clicking on the desktop going into properties, desktop tab, click the customize desktop button and see if the recycle bin is listed there??

If that doesn't work you might try TweakUI

I tried TweakUI but I don't know how to use it, and I don't want to mess up the registry, is there an easy way to do it?
