Weird Explorer Pauses

When i go to say, enter login information, or, enter some words into a search field, either right before i click go, or just as i do, the explorer hangs for about 3 seconds and then proceeds at its normal speed. I have cable internet so i know thats not the issue, but its almost as in internet explorer locks for 3 secs, and then proceeds. Well, i use CrazyBrowser, but same thing. Any settings im overlooking, or is this just an unfortunate problem im going to have to live with :-(.
 
i had that same problem. i had turned on a "turbo" mode in my mobos bios, the motherboard was bad and didnt like it so it screwed up everything. my computer was hanging badly. just as you say. i did a check disk and it worked fine after that. give it a try.
