I have a MSI 6800 GT Video card that has S-Video output. I also have an old 27" regular tube TV with S-Video input. It gets input from a DVD player via the s-Video input very well.

When I hooked up the S-Video out from computer vid card into the TV though the picture is very, very blurry all all resolutions I try. What can I do to rectify this?

Any help is appreciated. I'm a nub when it comes to HTPC.

My HTPC is:
Old Gigabyte 754 k8 nnxp board
Amd 3400+ clawhammer (at 2.2mhz)
2x512 low latency corsair memory. (2,2,2,5)
MSI 6800 GT Video card
Audigy 2z sound card
Liteon DVD writer
Old thermaltake 480w PSU
Silverstone case

My HTPC also has a 6800GT card.... S-Video for the desktop, explorer, and IE; looks like how do say "balls". Media Center at 800*600 looks just fine however. I think it has to do with S-Video (not the best connection) and these cards not supporting HD. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

A better card with the 9 Pin A/V out cable is what I'm looking into myself, maybe a 7800......
