I just built a new system last week. the specs are:

Chaintech vnf3-250
amd 64 3400+
1gb corsair xms pc3200
2x 200gb wd2000jd sata
audigy 2 (kept from old pc)
eVGA geforce FX 5900 SE (kept from old pc)

The problem is, when I transferred my FX 5900 SE from my old pc to my new one, like a fool I sprayed it with a can of air, breaking the stock video card fan. I didn't find this out until I tried to boot up my new pc and got NO video. So I ordered a Vantec Iceberq 4 Pro gpu fan. It arrived today and it works fine but I STILL get no video at all when I turn on my new pc. I had to plug the Iceberq fan into the motherboard because it had a 3-pin connector and the FX 5900 only takes a 2-pin connector. Am I getting no video because the new gpu fan is not plugged into the FX 5900's connector or am I looking at a possible motherboard or video card problem?

-I have no other video cards to test currently.

If you happen to have another computer you can slip that card in to try it I would.

Going from the pcb 2 pin plug to a 3 pin plugged into an adaptor, the card should be fine with it.

If the card Isn't working in a second computer, then head for the manufacturers website and get an RMA.

Oh one thing that you can try is clearing the CMOS on the new system and see if it helps, might, might not.

Alright I put the video card in an old 733mhz and it worked. So does this mean my motherboard needs to be RMA'd? Is it possible for just the AGP slot to be dead? Because everything else sounds and looks normal when I turn it on, there's just no video.

Reset the bios with the CMOS clear jumper on your motherboard, if you don't know how, head for the manufacturers website and download the manual, just be aware that when you reset the bios that youll have to figure out what the settings were at before you did it.

Hmm, not yet. Though gettin closer. Pull the CMOS battery out and leave it out for about 30 minutes, then put it back in and try again.

Sorry took so long, I took a nap.
