Comparing DDR in Sandra "07.Not the best,but general starting point.My mem comes nowhere close to reference systems.
Mobo=Evga 939 SLI (133-K8-NF41-AX)
1Single-sided DDR mem=Buffalotch 512 CAS 2.5 at defaut settings including voltage
1Double-sided DDR mem=Buffalotch 512 CAS 2.5 default
1 MSI Geforce FX7900GS PCI-e vid card w/latest drivers
1 2nd Gen Ultra Xfinity 500W SLI Power supply
1 DVD everything
Maxtor 6y250M0 SATA hardive.
Now,it looks like most benchmarks are close to other similar systems except for memory prrformance. I realize I'm running single channel here cause mem doesn't exactly match,but the numbers don't account for the lousy scores.
Sandramem gives me a score aroun 2399,2399 for my system
A Nvidia Nfoce pro 150(2 gens back) with 1GB DDR shows a score of 5426 and 5235 respectivily.
There are many obsolete setups that show at least twice the memory performace my system is showing.
Oher benckmarks show a decidedly inferior performanc with 2+ year old tech.
Where have I gone wrong?
I did notice the device mangler shows a memory controller by microsoft dated 2003. Is this it?Did I leave out important drivers?
The system seems stable even after overclocing the vid card clock and me by themselves,but still somethings wrong.
Im 95% postive drivers are up to date.Is there a specific memory driver needed?Thanks for taking time out to read this.Peter
