Verizon DSL - WTF!!!

Okay, I've been using a crappy 56k dial-up connection for a few months now. I just got Verizon DSL and I seem be only getting no more than 13Kbps, I was getting close to that before on my dial-up. Any ideas, or is my Verizon DSL supposed to be this slow?
 
If the DSLAM is loaded up enough it is possible, however highlu unlikely. Call verizon and tell them whats up. They should be able to run a MLT (metallic loop test) on your line which should point them in the right direction
