alright i just bought a .mac account and i'm trying to change it so my old downloaded music is under my .mac account but i can't do it. apple won't let me i guess or i'm doing something wrong. Any help would be great. Thanks
 
i wanna change my apple id from my old email address to my new one but it says that .mac users already have an apple id and if you would like to use it to just log in with it but i want to just use my old account just with my new .mac apple id.
 
I don't think you can do that. I switched to a .mac account, and still have to use my old ID to authorize songs I purchased under that account.
 
call into 1-800-MY-APPLE and follow the menus...I believe there i a group there that can change your .mac account name...don't hold me to that but I think they can do it
