USB Touchscreen?

Does anyone have experience using USB touchscreens that you can put on your laptop/LCD/CRT monitor? They seem like they might be useful, particularly on laptops when you don't (or can't) use a trackpad.

There are a number of online vendors but I can't seem to find any demo units in stores to try out. If anyone has experience with them please drop a reply.
