Hi all i was recommended this website from another forum :)

Right I have a problem, at the weekend i replaced my motherboard and cpu all is fine but for my USB ports its a strange problem because there is power running to them, however, i will install the drivers (or so it says) for the usb lead/input but will NOT appear as a removable disc for my ipod, digital camera or PSP. Even though they are clearly responding and there is power running through because it will charge my ipod.

I have my usb mouse and keyboard running fine from it (from its power of course).

I have also gone into the bios and made sure they are all enabled.

So ive tried everything, ive even been on the apple website and forum to try and find an answer, but the only help there is singling out the ipod, and it isnt only the ipod which is the problem.
Also yes i have been into the BIOS to make sure they are enabled.
Id appreciate any help
Thanks in advanced. ;) ;)

Did you reinstall the chipset drivers for the new motherboard? Are there any conflicts in the Device Manager? (Control Panel > System > Hardware tab > Device Manager)

So shall i assume all the thousands of members who come to this website dont know how to solve the problem?
:(

reinstall them the same way you installed them.off the cd or download them from the website.its hard to diagnose a problem when we dont know what were working on.you should list in your sig what you have as far as motherboard,cpu,ram,video,p/supply...all or as much info as you can.alot of help here but you have to help us too.catch an attitude and youll be fixing it solo dude.

Well firstly i didnt mean for it to sound rude i was just giving my opinion that if no one udnerstands it, it must be a mysterious problem.
My specs

3700+ amd Athlon
AsRock dual series motherboard
6800 Geforce Nvidia Graphics Card
160gb hard drive 6 usb ports
1GB Kingston RAM

is the new mobo the same as your old one?

did you do a clean install of windows? if you did try it one more time

did you install all the drivers on the cd that came with the mobo?

are these usb ports that are "hard wired" into the back of the mobo or are they the ones that you plug in some where (probably near the bottom) on the mobo?

it could just be bad usb ports on the mobo which means the board should be sent back to ASrock
