USB Memory Stick Stuck

Yesterday I was adding a file to my usb memory stick when things took a turn for the worse. I inserted the stick into a usb slot on the back of the motherboard just like I always do, no additional force needed. Then added the file I needed and ejected the stick from Windows. At this point I reach to the back of the case to pull it out as always but this time the stick will not come out. I pull harder and notice there is a little bit of movement (2-3mm at a time, in and out). I unplug everything and pull the case out for a better inspection. The small range of motion is the usb interface of the stick just barely moving in and out of the usb slot. I pull as hard as I can and still nothing. Anyone know what I can do? The usb stick is a Sandisk Cruzer Mini and the motherboard is a MSI K8N Neo Platinum. Thanks for the help.

Brandon.

Pull harder

I've gotten a card reader stuck in there once, and I basically just had to rip on it to get it out

If it was me, I would find something thin and long. I would pull the stick the 2-3mm you can, and slide the flat thing under it. Then, put something under the flat thing so as to create a lever and push on the other end as hard as you can. Should pry it up.

bring the pc into a colder enviroment let the hold expand a little then pull it out

Known issue
I got mine stuck, removed it by powering the machine down and pulling really, really hard.

Lower temperatures makes most matter more dense.
