I want to be able to backup computers on a weekly basis for my family members and myself. I am using Acronis True Image and when I backup the files can range from 10gb all the way to 50 or more. My problem is the transfer rate of the backup file. I have an external hard drive that is capable of usb 2 and firewire. If a desktop computer does not have usb2 or firewire this transfer can take hours. I could individually install a pci card in all of these computers but I wanted to see what my other options were if any. I will be working with strictly desktops and I'm kind of in a bind as I have been designated the so called "family computer go to guy." So in a nutshell, I want to know what my other options are besides installing a pci card. If that is the only option what is the quickest and most mobile way to do so?
