I currently have an Athlon 2500+ Barton and Asus A7N8X with Two sticks of Mushkin 512 PC3200 DDR CAS 2-3-2 and Two stick of Mushkin 256 PC3200 DDR CAS 2-3-2.

I was kinda looking around (I haven't read a bunch lately) but I was wondering.

Is that a decent choice for a new mobo and proc for the money and will the performance increase be worth it? Will it completley rape my 2500+ barton in all areas or only in some.

Or... should I just get a NewCastle A64 3500+ s939. Or is it better to get a ..... 3400+ ... 3200+ s939 and OC..... . blargg. help?

I got that combo from Monarch with 1GB of OCZ Rev2 memory so my vote would be the MSI Mobo and 90 3500 gl with your decision.
 
I'd say the 3200+ 939 90nm, has a 10 multiplier compared to the 9 of the 3000+. But if $ is not a concern then the 3500+ and MSI board is a good choice. The higher multi will probably help in your ocing abilities. 2.4 - 2.6 is pretty standard for this CPU as far as I have read.
