I've been out of the loop with systems for a little while and I'm considering an upgrade. I currently have an FX-53 (939) with a gig of ram and a 6800GT.
I priced out a new system for around $1600 which included an AMD X2 4400+, 2gigs of ram, mobo, 7800GT and the other odds and ends. My question is regarding the upcoming M2 socket with DDR2 support. My system isn't slow by any means, but I'm starting to do more and more video shooting and editing/encoding for work and I need to have either a dual processor or dual core setup to speed up my workflow.
Would I be better off going with the current 939 4400+ or waiting a bit and going M2? It's not mandatory that I upgrade at the moment, but I would like better multitasking if possible.
